This Privacy Policy describes how TrueQuote Estimator ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our estimating software (the "Service").
1. Who This Applies To
This Service is a business tool used by home services companies ("Business Users") and their staff to generate and deliver property estimates. This policy covers:
Business Users who create an account and use the Service
Staff members invited by a Business User to use the Service
End customers whose information is entered into the Service by a Business User in order to generate an estimate
2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and business information.
Property and estimate data. When a Business User generates an estimate, we collect the property address and job details entered, and we retrieve property information (such as square footage and lot size) from third-party data providers to assist in generating accurate estimates.
Third-party CRM connection data. If you connect a third-party CRM (such as Jobber) to your account, we store the access credentials necessary to create quotes on your behalf in that system. We do not access any other data in your CRM account beyond what is necessary to create and manage quotes.
Usage data. We collect basic usage information (such as login activity and estimate volume) to operate and improve the Service and to calculate billing.
3. How We Use Third-Party Data Providers
To generate accurate property estimates, we retrieve property data (such as square footage) from RentCast, a third-party real estate data provider. We may cross-reference this data against publicly available information to verify accuracy. We also use Google Maps to allow Business Users to measure property features (such as roof, driveway, and patio areas) using satellite imagery.
These third-party providers have their own privacy practices, and we encourage you to review them.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
Generate property estimates on behalf of Business Users
Create quotes in a connected CRM (such as Jobber) at a Business User's direction
Communicate with you about your account
Calculate and process billing
Improve and secure the Service
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your information.
We share information only in the following circumstances:
With your connected CRM, when you direct us to create a quote (e.g., pushing an estimate into Jobber)
With service providers who help us operate the Service (such as our hosting and database provider, and the property data providers described above)
When required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our business, our users, or others
6. Data Belonging to Multiple Businesses
Our Service is used by multiple, unrelated businesses. Each Business User's pricing information is kept private and is never visible to other Business Users, their staff, or end customers. Only the final estimate total is shared with an end customer — never the underlying pricing rates used to calculate it.
7. Data Retention
We retain account and estimate data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at [CONTACT EMAIL].
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including restricting access to sensitive pricing data and CRM credentials. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices
You may update your account information at any time by logging into the Service. You may disconnect a connected CRM at any time, which will revoke our access to create quotes on your behalf.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
